GBI imports only legally compliant products and our aim is to source from fisheries that have or are working on a formal fisheries management plan.

We are actively involved with leading independent organizations involved in fishery improvement projects, sustainable seafood certification programs and the development of sustainable seafood or fisheries management plans. We are also committed to educating our customers about their sustainable options and offering products tailored to meet those requirements. Global Benchmark INC offers a number of fresh and frozen seafood items that meet international, sustainable certification standards.

Global Benchmark is devoted to the environment and protecting seafood resources by supporting the GBL, an (501 (c) (9Cs) organization which mission is to support global fishery improvement projects and better fishing practices initiatives, create and promote awareness for responsible fishing practices and adequate management of the fishery, minimize the impact of by catch and human activity on the environment; and educate the public on the need to support these programs in order to protect marine resources.
